No that’s not a trick question either. Bite Shoes just emailed me a Fathers Day offer and it includes getting custom fitted footbeds for my Golf Shoes (not that i golf).

This has to be one of the more original emails I’ve seen recently. Nicely done Adidas!  Since the UPS White Board session commercials have been such a big hit I believe that we’ll see more companies try this approach in various mediums… the creativity is super!

So, if you’ve got divine stick man drawing ability I do believe that you can make some hay with the current market trends in advertising.

I was just reading the Brown Shoe Company press release on Internet Retailer. Sherri Sheri Wilson was just named Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer. Congrats to Sherri Sheri!

So what’s the big deal? Second sentence in the second paragraph. Here’s the quote:

Sheri’s strong experience in retail, wholesale, fashion and classic marketing will be important assets as we continue to grow.

Classic Marketing? Huh? There’s no mention of Internet Marketing and that’s the skill that you want today isn’t it?

Edit: If only I could spell Sheri… (spelling errors corrected).

Have you heard the one about the two crooks (plead guilty) that got busted for smuggling $69M in counterfeit nikes into the U.S.? No? According to the Arizona Daily Star they got caught last summer with 135,000 pairs of shoes.

There is no dispute on the 135K pair of shoes.

Authorities seized 78 sea cargo containers packed with counterfeit goods worth more than $69 million.

Uh, OK, can you spot the problem with this quote from the Arizona Daily Star article? Figured it out yet? Here, take a look at this:

So, how is it that these Nike’s were valued to be $511 per pair; am I missing something?
