I was just reading the Brown Shoe Company press release on Internet Retailer. Sherri Sheri Wilson was just named Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer. Congrats to Sherri Sheri!

So what’s the big deal? Second sentence in the second paragraph. Here’s the quote:

Sheri’s strong experience in retail, wholesale, fashion and classic marketing will be important assets as we continue to grow.

Classic Marketing? Huh? There’s no mention of Internet Marketing and that’s the skill that you want today isn’t it?
